WELCOME TO MIANYANG FLIGHT COLLEGE

Mianyang FlightCollegewas established in December 1966. Its predecessor was the Fourth Regiment of China Civil Aviation Advanced Aviation School, stationed at Mianyang Tangxun Airport. In May 2002, it relocated entirely to Mianyang Nanjiao Airport. The campus covers an area of 304 acres and currently employs 88 flight instructors and 9 ground theory teachers. For many years, adhering to the branch spirit of "Unity and Dedication, Innovation and Responsibility, Truth-Seeking and Pragmatism, Quality and Safety," it has focused on cultivating professional flight personnel with firm political conviction, superb technical skills, excellent conduct, and sound physical and mental health.

In recent years, thecollegehas established strategic cooperation with Chongqing Yongchuan Da’an Airport and Langzhong Ancient City Airport, forming a "1+2" coordinated training framework, with an annual training capacity reaching 74,000 hours. It is equipped with a modern training fleet covering primary, intermediate, and advanced stages. The main aircraft types include Diamond DA42NG, DA20, Cessna C172R, C172S, and CJ1, totaling 67 aircraft, capable of meeting various flight training needs.

Thecollegeundertakes the dual tasks of teaching & training and air traffic control support for Mianyang Nanjiao Airport. It has accumulated over 1.23 million consecutive safe flight hours, and has supported 3.1 million flight operations, transporting 37.63 million passengers and 12,400 tons of cargo and mail. It has been awarded honors such as "National Model Workers' Home," "National Civil Aviation May 1st Labor Certificate," "National Civil Aviation Advanced Collective for Earthquake Relief," and "National Civil Aviation May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee" by organizations including the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

Thecollegewas the first within the university to undertake the task of training civil aviation pilots for countries along the "Belt and Road" initiative. In 2009, 10 Laotian international students completed their training at the branch. Over the years, the branch has continuously deepened its educational brand "Spring Rain, Red Heart · Wings Leading the Way." Through the systematic implementation of the "Three Voyages Project" — Embarking Voyage (Casting Soul), Leading Voyage (Setting Direction), and Distant Voyage (Empowering) — it aids students in "flying right, flying high, and flying far," comprehensively promoting the quality and effectiveness of the "Three-Wides Education" (all-round, whole-process, and all-staff education). Simultaneously, it advances the quantitative assessment of flight instructors based on the "Nine-Character Guideline," organically integrating ideological and political education into the entire process and all aspects of flight teaching practice. It has cultivated a large number of outstanding flight professionals with exceptional operational capabilities and fine professional demeanor for Chinese civil aviation, represented by Xu Ruichen, a member of the heroic flight crew of China Civil Aviation.
