Luoyang Flight College is located at Beijiao Airport of Luoyang City, Henan Province, covering an area of more than 166 hectares (over 2,500 mu). Originally the 3rd Training Regimen of the 14th Aviation School of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, it was re-established in Guanghan, Sichuan in 1963. In 1993, it relocated to Luoyang, the ancient capital of China. It is the only Flight College of CAFUC (Civil Aviation Flight University of China) situated outside Sichuan Province.
With more than 500 faculty members and a fleet of 75 training aircraft of various types, Luoyang Flight College can complete more than 80,000 flight hours of training tasks annually and train about 600 pilots each year. Up to now, it has accumulated over 1.59 million flight training hours, with more than 3.3 million takeoffs and landings. Over 15,000 Chinese and foreign civil aviation pilots have graduated from or received training at the College. On August 28, 2025, Luoyang Flight College achieved its 62nd consecutive year of safe flight operation since its founding, once again setting a new record for the best safety operation among independent operating institutions in general aviation industry. Luoyang Flight College has been successively granted the honorable titles of ""National Model Staff Home"", ""National Workers’ Pioneer"", ""National Youth Safety Production Demonstration Post", ""National Civil Aviation Advanced Unit for Safe Flight", ""National Civil Aviation Advanced Collective", "National Civil Aviation Model Unit of Safe Flying" , "Advanced Primary Party Organization of Civil Aviation", etc. In 2025, it was awarded "the Blue-Sky Certificate" by CAAC.
Focusing on the development goals of "One Network, Two Brands, One Base" (One Network refers to the construction of the northern training network for CAFUC; Two Brands represent the "Luoyang-Cultivated" brand for flight training and the general aviation service brand; One Base represents the teaching practice, scientific research and innovation base.), Luoyang Flight College is steadily advancing the construction of the northern training network. In 2025, the annual training volume at its Ruicheng Flight Training Base exceeded 10,000 flight hours, marking the remarkable effectiveness of the "College + Base" operation mode.
