The college of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence originated from the Department of Computer and Information Engineering, established in 2001, and was renamed in 2025. The college offers four undergraduate programs: Computer Science and Technology, Internet of Things Engineering, Cyberspace Security, and Artificial Intelligence, and three specialized master's degree programs in Electronic Information focusing on Computer Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Network and Information Security.

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Outcome-Based Education (OBE), guided by ideological and political education, collaboration between academic and industry mentors, deep integration of computer disciplines with the civil aviation industry, and synergistic enhancement of students' engineering practice and innovative thinking abilities to cultivate applied 'new-quality talent'". It has produced a large number of outstanding professionals for the civil aviation, education, and IT industries.

The college has been recognized as one of the "First Batch of Party Building Exemplary Units in Sichuan Province" and the "First Batch of Curriculum Ideological and Political Education Exemplary Units in Sichuan Higher Education Institutions." The Computer Science and Technology program has been approved as a national first-class undergraduate program. The Virtual Teaching and Research Office for Computer Science and Technology in Aviation Universities has been included as part of the "Second Batch of Virtual Teaching and Research Offices" initiative by the Ministry of Education. The Computer Engineering Department has been honored with the titles of "National Worker Pioneer" and "Civil Aviation Worker Pioneer." Additionally, the Party Branch of the Computer Engineering Department has been recognized as an "Advanced Civil Aviation Grassroots Party Organization" and has been designated as a "Second Batch of University Party Building Exemplary Branch in Sichuan Province."
