WELCOME TO College of Aviation Electronic and Electrical Engineering

The College of Aviation Electronic and Electrical Engineering is a leading secondary college focused on cultivating high-level professional in the fields of civil aviation avionics system intelligent operation and maintenance and low-altitude economy. It serves as the chair of the Committee for the Management and Service of Drone Operator License Examinations under the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the chair of the Drone Innovation Talent Cultivation Alliances, shouldering the responsibility of leading industry standards and innovating talent training models. The College consistently follows Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its fundamental guide, remains loyal to the Party’s educational cause, and upholds its original aspiration and mission of "nurturing people for the Party and professional for the country." It upholds the College's motto: "Excellence in Electronics, Understanding Things, Diligence in Action, and Intelligent Leadership", adheres to the "five-in-one" holistic education approach (morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor education), and strives to build the "Light-wing Navigation" Party-building work brand. The College cultivates high-quality, well-rounded professional with solid professional knowledge, strong humanistic qualities, sharp innovation awareness, and outstanding engineering abilities for the new era. It is one of the first universities in Sichuan to be recognized as a benchmark institution for curriculum ideological and political education and a pilot unit for the comprehensive reform of "all-round education (all students, all processes, all aspects)".

The College has a well-established and comprehensive disciplinary system. It recruits master’s students in four fields — Aerospace Science and Technology, Intelligent Science and Technology, Energy and Power (Electrical Engineering), and Electronic Information (Control Engineering) — providing students with broad opportunities for advanced study. Its undergraduate education has a solid foundation, featuring a National First-Class Undergraduate Program (Electronic Information Engineering), a Sichuan Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program (Electrical Engineering and Automation), and a Sichuan Provincial Civil Aviation Advantageous and Distinctive Undergraduate Program (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System Engineering). The College has successfully established a distinctive talent cultivation system characterized by "guidance from the development of medium-and-large-sized UAVs, supported by the training of outstanding aircraft maintenance professionals".

The College currently has 82 faculty and staff members and over 2,900 graduate and undergraduate students. Among the full-time faculty, 54.2% hold doctoral degrees, 55.9% have senior professional titles, and 52.5% are "dual-qualified" teachers. The College also has 1 Sichuan Provincial Academic Leader, 1 member of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee’s "Doctoral Service Corps," and 2 UAV pilot license examination examiners appointed by the CAAC. Each year, faculty members lead student innovation and entrepreneurship teams to participate in various collegiate science and technology competitions, winning more than 120 national- and provincial/ministerial-level awards.

As a pioneer among China’s civil aviation higher-education institutions — and the first to simultaneously offer both undergraduate UAV education and UAV pilot license training — the College is spearheading the development of a domestic first-class training and examination center for low-altitude talent. It actively serves major national strategies such as the national strategy of building a transportation powerhouse and the low-altitude economy, and supplies the aviation industry with outstanding engineers and technological innovation professional.
